Polsat Plus Arena Gdynia is one of the most recognizable sports and entertainment venues in Pomerania. If you are looking for a hotel or accommodation close to the venue, we have a few suggestions for you!
Polsat Plus Arena Gdynia is a modern hall that attracts both sports fans and lovers of concerts and cultural events. This is where basketball and volleyball games, martial arts competitions, as well as spectacular concerts by Polish and international stars take place.
A short history
The hall was opened in 2008 as the Gdynia Sports and Entertainment Hall. Its creation aimed to provide a space where sport and culture could meet in a modern setting. In 2021, the venue was given a new name – Polsat Plus Arena Gdynia – marking a new chapter in cooperation with a major sponsor.
A place of sporting emotions
The arena is primarily the home of the basketball team AMW Arka Gdynia – one of the most decorated clubs in Poland. Volleyball matches, e-sports tournaments, and MMA galas are also held here regularly. The venue meets the highest standards, enabling it to host both national and international events.
The arena offers nearly 5,000 seats, and its architecture ensures that every event is well visible and excellently amplified. The venue is fully adapted to the needs of people with disabilities and has catering facilities.
Cultural events and concerts
Polsat Plus Arena Gdynia is not just about sports. It is also a space for concerts and shows that attract crowds. World-class artists have already performed on its stage, and the event calendar is regularly filled with the biggest names in Polish music.
The arena is a place where emotions never fade. Autumn 2025 promises to be truly intense – both for concert fans and for family or trade events. On September 21, the greatest hits will resound in the unique show “Tribute to Whitney Houston Symfonicznie”. A week later (September 27–28), the Pomeranian Housing Fair will take place at the arena.
October will open with the concert “Golden Hits of Polish Cinema and Television – Symphonic” (October 4), followed by more musical emotions – from Gaming Concert (October 17), to the dance show Hollywood in Dance – Episode II (October 18), and the concert of the legendary band KULT (October 25).
Autumn and winter also bring family-friendly events: the show Bluey – Big Playdate (November 8–9) and the ice shows “The Nutcracker and the Lord of Darkness” and “Alice in Wonderland” (December 2). Magical concerts are also on the agenda – the Magic Christmas Concert (December 12) and monumental evenings of film music featuring the works of Hans Zimmer, John Williams, and Ennio Morricone.
Every month brings something new – from rock sounds to symphonic arrangements to spectacular family shows.
